I have been a resident of FNQ for many years, I understand the region, our environs and the needs & wants of our community.

A proven community advocate, my voluntary works have covered many corners of the community from the Rural Fire Brigade to the SES, from P&C President to Committee Member of the ‘Far North Friends of the Hospital Foundation’ and the ‘Community Multi Purpose Health Service.’

In recognition of my voluntary works in the community, I have been awarded a medallion from the State Government in 2001 during the 'International Year of Volunteers.'

And again in 2003, I was honored by the Queen with a Centenary Medal for distinguished service to the community, particularly in local schools.

However grateful I am for these accolades, it is the opportunity to represent Division 10 in the Cairns Regional Council that would be my real reward and a NEW AND EXCITING BEGINNING.

To plainly demonstrate my commitment to the position, after 11 successful years in the tourism industry, I have sold my business interests with the expectation that this electorate will allow me to dedicate myself to providing the people of division 10 with REAL representation.

My promise to you is that, if elected, I will make a FULL TIME COMMITMENT TO WORKING IN THE BEST INTERSTS OF DIVISION 10 CONSTITUTENTS. And, wherever possible and responsible will fight to facilitate the prosperity and contentment of this community. In short, I will not forget that I was elected to serve the people of Division 10.
